ABOUT LINDA
Make an AppointmentActively engaging the mind, body and spirit in the therapy process is vital to my work as a therapist. Working together to create a plan that leads to your specific therapeutic goals is important to me.
Over the past 20 years, my unique experiences and education have enabled me to help clients realize their goals. Mindfulness and meditation are key elements to my practice, as are EMDR, parts work, cognitive-behavioral, and emotion-focused approaches to the person.
I work with people struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, PTSD, and self-esteem. I also work with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families who are facing a variety of life challenges, including trying to reconfigure as step-families.
Our counseling relationship will consist of weekly 45-60 minute sessions. Your goals and our journey to them will direct how long we work together; our counseling relationship could last anywhere from a few weeks to a few years. You have the option to end the counseling relationship at any time, and you can expect that I may suggest modifications to therapeutic methods as needed.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned a Doctorate in Psychology from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana and completed clinical work at Hiebert Institute in Rock Island, Illinois. In addition, I am certified by the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy as a clinical fellow, and I am a certified Spiritual Director from Shalem Institute.
My free time is spent exploring this world through mindfulness meditation, Tai Chi, yoga, hiking, reading, gardening and relishing how my young-adult children navigate this world.
